I have a t-11 sci due to a car accident in 1990. I think with science advancing that it could be that you get your dream to walk again. and me too of course!....peace

Hi there Annie,

I can relate to what you have told me so much, it takes for ever to do some things and some people just don't understand. I have most of my care needs done in the morning and it takes me two hours to get up, so by the time I usually get round it is close to lunchtime already. I also do not enjoy having to ask all the time for things and feel most of the time that I am being a nuisance. Fortunately the people around me are very patient and I have a great relationship with them all. It's at times like these that you learn who your real friends are.

I would like to keep in touch and get to know you. If you would like to, please send me an e-mail to my address and tell me a bit about yourself because I think we can be great support for each other.

Thanks for all the kind words about my website, much appreciated!

Take care!

Bev

Dear Bev

I am a close friend of the Hallidays. I'm an American who got to know your father while I lived in Masvingo doing marketing work for the municipality several years ago.

I must say your attitude is truly an inspiration and a blessing to all of us who listen. You have two choices when you awake....you can either smile or frown.....you fortunately have chosen to smile despite it all. Good for you. Your positive attitude will eventually prevail. I pray for you and wish all the best in what appears to be a bright future.

Give your dad my best.

God Bless

Mark

Hi Bev,
Just found your site and enjoyed it very much. I am a C2-C5 quad also. Injured in car cash 3 years ago. Like sure has changed and the little things in life seem to take hours to do anymore. Hardest part is for me is having everything done for me. I was 36 when i was injured with kids, a business and a family to care for now I am the one that requires all the care. I found your site appealing and helpful. Dont give up Bev I'm not someday we will walk again. Good luck

Annie

Bev: What a remarkable and courageous young woman you are.

I live on the Pacific Coast in Encinitas, California, about 45 minutes north of Mexico. A few years back, I gave Dot Halliday the name of Dr. Fernando Ramiriz in Mexico. I'm so please that contact was made. What a great family you are blessed with who will go to any lengths to help you get well. And caring friends like Dot.

You are an inspiration to us all.

Dear Bev..... Guy was so excited to have found your website this evening (25/7/09) that he phoned me straight away......we, the "Hallidays", often think and talk about you, the "Layards" and wonder how you're coping!... Thru' your amazing website we learn that you are certainly still in fighting mode and moving forward with the same determination that most Zimbos are expected to do, regardless.... !! smile

I must contact my great friend Carol Law, who lives in California. She will be so excited to know that her "lead" given to me so long ago is the very one who has helped your progress thus far...... Carol told me to contact Doctor Fernando Ramirez in Mexico, a pioneer in this field at the time. I emailed Doctor Fernando Ramirez and felt quite privilaged to receive a response!! Your Dad, far more qualified than I, continued the connections with this amazing man and thru' him I know you will continue to benefit. ....

Keep smiling - no matter what.
Love Dot

G'day, Bev !
So good to find your website & catch up with what you have been up to. Guy heard a Shania Twain song on the radio & remembered traveling to the Lowveld, with you & your Dad, to play cricket. You mentioned then that Shania Twain was one of your favourite artists. He decided to look you & your Dad up on the web & found your website ! Your website is great, by the way. We'll send you an email with all our news.

Love
Guy & Tania

A friend of ours from Zim - Tom Soper - was recently involved in a car accident and your Dad wrote on thir website about you and wonderfully inspiring you are. I have to agree. Tom now begins a similar journey and no doubt you and your Dad will be able to offer some sound advice and some nuggets of priceless wisdom. Thank you for your upbeat website and all the very best of everything to you. Lizzie Moon
